Pressing the three buttons above the input encoder, the headphone output and the main output change the focus, and multiple presses on these buttons alternate between the available inputs and the first and second handset outputs. As you change the inputs, three LEDs to the left indicate whether the input is set to a microphone, line, or instrument. and if an input is set to a microphone and the imaginary power is on, the microphone LED will turn red.
The other eight buttons on Control, 1 to 4 and A to D, are fully configurable in Element Control software, and each has a status LED, allowing the buttons to activate individual actions such as launching Element Control or switching. its state of characteristics such as imaginary power or speech. The rotary encoder itself is also a button and by default all mute outputs are assigned, which is very convenient. And a nice touch when the output is muted is that the corresponding LED will flash to remind you why you do not hear any sound.
